Double Take at New York Comic Con 2016: Press Release: "October 11, 2016 – New York, NY –Double Take (“2T”) successfully sampled 15,000 copies of their graphic novels at the close of New York Comic Con, surpassing their original goal of 10,000. From October 6th to 9th, the 2T team tirelessly handed eager NYCC attendees free copies of ten stories that started in a shared universe established by the cult classic Night of the Living Dead.

To make the giveaway more entertaining, 2T set up games for attendees to play to win: a prize wheel, blackjack, and random card draws. No one walked away a loser from the 2T booth; every visitor got at least one graphic novel (and more, if that visitor returned).

“The turnout was spectacular; we sampled on average 7 graphic novels per minute.” said Lillian Tan, 2T’s Business Manager, “Before the show started, it felt daunting, having to sample 10,000. But the con-goers’ genuine enthusiasm alleviated any doubts we had about meeting that goal.”

“The best part for our team was having convention goers get a free book one day and then come back the next to tell us how much they liked it. We got to see ourselves making new fans in real time,” said Michael Coast, 2T’s senior Story Editor.

But now that NYCC is over, where can new fans sate their appetite for more Double Take stories? All ten series are available at US$9.99 at local comic shops, and online at Barnes & Noble and Amazon. Written, directed, and edited by Lukas Bulava, Sour Breath stars Zuzana Blahutova, Viki Pekalová, David Gonsior, Martin Trudic, Alan Kocurek, and Lada Fojtikova. The short film is slated for a December 2016 release.
