January 12th will see the home entertainment releases of some of 2015’s most buzzed about horror and sci-fi films, including Ridley Scott’s The Martian, Sinister 2, and Paranormal Activity: The Ghost Dimension.

Scream Factory is also bringing Contracted: Phase II home to Blu-ray and DVD this week and other notable titles coming out this Tuesday include Howl, Crumbs, Painkillers, and the Hammer Classic Hands of the Ripper, presented by Synapse Films.

PARANORMAL ACTIVITY: THE GHOST DIMENSION, directed by Gregory Plotkin, follows a new family, the Fleeges — father Ryan (Chris J. Murray), mother Emily (Brit Shaw) and their young daughter Leila (Ivy George) — who move into a house and discover a video camera and a box of tapes in the garage.

When they look through the camera's lens, they begin to see the paranormal activity happening around them — including the re-emergence of young Kristi and Katie.

Sinister 2 (Universal Studios Home Entertainment, Blu/Digital HD & DVD)

The sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit horror movie. In the aftermath of the shocking events in “Sinister,” a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life brothers Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as the evil spirit of Bughuul continues to spread with frightening intensity.
