Whether you were lucky enough to see George Lucas' Star Wars Episode IV: A New Hope on the silver screen in 1977 or were introduced to the sci-fi spectacle on home media, you might collect or are familiar with the special line of 1977 Topps trading cards that depict memorable moments from the first chapter of the epic space saga. J. J. Abrams and the folks at Lucasfilm certainly remember those collectible cards, as they have revealed the official names of several key characters from the upcoming Star Wars: The Force Awakens via captioned images that replicate the design of the Topps Star Wars cards of old.

The Star Wars: The Force Awakens character cards were unveiled by Entertainment Weekly and feature the following name reveals:

  • Daisy Ridley plays Rey.
  • John Boyega plays Finn.
  • Oscar Isaac plays Poe Dameron.
  • The mysterious hooded figure with the red lightsaber is named "Kylo Ren".
  • The tiny circular droid is named "BB-8".
