The Woods doesn't hit theaters until September 16th, but there is already a lot of buzz surrounding the upcoming film from director Adam Wingard and writer Simon Barrett. Soon the movie will make even more noise in San Diego, as EW has announced that The Woods will have its first public screening at Comic-Con.

According to EW, The Woods Comic-Con screening will take place at 7:00pm PT on Friday, July 22nd. No other details are known at this time, but we'll be sure to keep Daily Dead readers updated on further details.

In addition to the world premiere screening announcement, EW also unveiled a new poster for The Woods, which you can see below.

Synopsis: “One of the scariest movies in decades, THE WOODS reinvents horror with a completely fresh and terrifying take on the genre.”

Centered on college students on an excursion in the wilderness, The Woods stars James Allen McCune, Callie Hernandez, Brandon Scott, Valorie Curry, Corbin Reid, and Wes Robinson. Viewers can enter The Woods when Lionsgate releases the film in theaters on September 16th.
