Last night, Daily Dead had the opportunity to sit down and chat one-on-one with Slipknot frontman Corey Taylor on the eve of his big screen debut in Fear Clinic, which celebrated its world premiere at the 2014 Screamfest Film Festival.

During our interview with Taylor, he discussed how fellow Slipknot band member Shawn Crahan’s (“Clown”) foray into acting for The Devil’s Carnival (a project that Taylor was also supposed to co-star in but had to bow out due to timing) added fuel to his own long-time interest in performing in front of the cameras. Taylor also chatted about his experiences working on Fear Clinic, landing a role alongside the likes of Robert Englund and Fiona Dourif and how the film had him reexamining some of his own personal fears as well.

Taylor gave us the dirt on his future plans in film, involving a brand new project that his production company has had in pre-production for the last few years, and his thoughts on the initial response to the brand new Slipknot album, .5: The Gray Chapter, which recently debuted to great acclaim.

Check out our exclusive video interview with Taylor below and look for more on Fear Clinic closer to its 2015 release from Anchor Bay Entertainment.
