After tormenting the Oswalt family in 2012's Sinister, the malevolent Buhguul seeks more children to join him on the other side. Hitting theaters late this summer, Sinister 2 sees the demonic figure turning his attention to a mother's (Shannyn Sossamon) twin 9-year-old boys, who are shown standing beneath a blood-drawn face of Buhguul in the film's new poster.
"The sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit horror movie. In the aftermath of the shocking events in “Sinister,” a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as the evil spirit of Buhguul continues to spread with frightening intensity."
Directed by Ciaran Foy (Citadel) from a screenplay co-penned by Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill (the pair that scribed the original Sinister), Sinister 2 hits theaters on August 21st. In addition to Sossamon, Sinister 2 stars real life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan, as well as James Ransone reprising his role as the Deputy (referred to as Deputy So-and-So in the original film). Keep an eye on Daily Dead tomorrow for the official Sinister 2 trailer.
