Generations of horror hounds were ushered into the genre via R.L. Stine's Goosebumps books. Siting atop the shelves of libraries around the world with their vibrantly colored spines just waiting to be grabbed by young readers, the influential series is being brought to the big screen by Columbia Pictures next summer, and a meme maker for the upcoming feature reveals familiar faces from the page that will create scares onscreen.

The Goosebumps meme maker is now available for fans to use. The online workshop allows users to take official images from the film and write original captions to display in memes. Many of the images show monsters from the film that fans will recognize from several Goosebumps series. We knew that Slappy the Dummy, a recurring core villain from the series, will be featured in the film, but as the movie's official images below show, the tiny terror won't be alone as he wreaks havoc after escaping from the pages of Stine's books.

In the images below, the trained Goosebumps-reading eye will recognize the mummy from The Curse of the Mummy's Tomb, Count Nightwing from Vampire Breath, a Pumpkinhead alien cannibal from Attack of the Jack-O'-Lanterns, the scarecrow from Grandpa Kurt and Grandma Miriam's farm in The Scarecrow Walks at Midnight, the Lord High Executioner from A Night in Terror Tower, Captain Long Ben One-Leg from Creep from the Deep (Goosebumps HorrorLand series), Slappy the dummy from Night of the Living Dummy (and seven other Stine books), a zombie-like ghoul from Attack of the Graveyard Ghouls (Goosebumps Series 2000), Murder the Clown from When the Ghost Dog Howls (Goosebumps HorrorLand series), and Madame Doom from Help! We Have Strange Powers! (Goosebumps HorrorLand series).

Also featured in the images is Jack Black as R.L. Stine, Dylan Minnette as Zach Cooper, Odeya Rush as Hannah, and Ryan Lee. We have a look at the images below (via the Goosebumps Meme Maker). Though some of the images are labeled "IN THEATERS 2016", rest assured that the Goosebumps movie will be released by Columbia Pictures on August 7th, 2015. The cast includes Jack Black, Dylan Minnette, Odeya Rush, Timothy Simons, Amanda Lund, Amy Ryan, Jillian Bell, Ryan Lee, and Ken Marino.

Rob Letterman directs from a screenplay by Darren Lemke and Mike White and a story by Scott Alexander, Larry Karaszewski, and Darren Lemke, based on the Goosebumps book series written by R. L. Stine. The producers are Neal H. Moritz and Deborah Forte, with Bill Bannerman and Tania Landau as executive producers.

“In Goosebumps, upset about moving from a big city to a small town, teenager Zach Cooper (Dylan Minnette) finds a silver lining when he meets the beautiful girl, Hannah (Odeya Rush), living right next door. But every silver lining has a cloud, and Zach’s comes when he learns that Hannah has a mysterious dad who is revealed to be R. L. Stine (Jack Black), the author of the bestselling Goosebumps series. It turns out that there is a reason why Stine is so strange… he is a prisoner of his own imagination – the monsters that his books made famous are real, and Stine protects his readers by keeping them locked up in their books. When Zach unintentionally unleashes the monsters from their manuscripts and they begin to terrorize the town, it’s suddenly up to Stine, Zach, and Hannah to get all of them back in the books where they belong.”
