INK First Details: "After a pregnancy scare, Joey marks the occasion with a new tattoo and a drunken night of distraction, but when she arrives home in the early hours of the morning, she’s confronted with the truth about what she really wants, and the past that's driven her to the brink of obsession. Her desires and circumstances intersect to awaken a monster who answers her unwitting call.

With an original story, unique aesthetic and great perks, INK is a film that has the potential to be great and you can make it a reality!

INK, the Toronto-based body horror/ creature short promises audiences an atmospheric and visceral movie-going experience. Driven by the unique aesthetic of Photographer turned first-time Filmmaker, Ashlea Wessel, INK will be sure to transfix and horrify in equal shares. Jen Wright and the INK makeup team are busy creating a visually stunning experience through chill-inducing creature FX and lead character Joey's full-body tattoos, and Ian Anderson has just signed on to lend his substantial talent as Director of Photography.

INK's original story provides an unusual take on the female protagonist in the damaged but resilient (and heavily tattooed ) Joey, as well as a fresh perspective in a genre with so many creative possibilities and so few female voices."

Honeyspider, a cult throwback horror feature film from indie filmmakers Josh Hasty and Kenny Caperton, will premiere on October 18th at the historic Gem Theatre in Kannapolis, North Carolina, where a portion of the film was shot. The theatre is hosting a horror night double feature also including George A Romero's zombie classic 'Night of the Living Dead' from 1968. The film is also screening at a Drive-In in Henderson, NC with the original 'House on Haunted Hill' starring Vincent Price, as well as showing at the historic Murphy Theatre in Wilmington, OH with 'The Rocky Horror Picture Show.'

Honeyspider is written and produced by Kenny Caperton (owner of the infamous Myers House NC) and directed by Josh Hasty ('A Mannequin in Static') of Paramount Scope. The film stars Frank Aard ('April Fool's Day' remake), Joan Schuermeyer ('Zombieland' and RZ's 'Halloween 2'), Rachel Jeffreys, Samantha Mills ('Bombshell Bloodbath') and newcomer Mariah Brown.

Billy Corgan of the iconic rock band The Smashing Pumpkins has generously given the filmmakers the rights to use one of his early SP tracks entitled “Honeyspider,” which inspired the name of the movie. The film will also feature music from legendary music producer and singer songwriter Gary S. Paxton, who arranged and produced the original Bobby (Boris) Pickett and the Crypt-Kickers “Monster Mash” album.

In addition to the double feature screenings, Honeyspider will also be hitting the film festival circuit in search of distribution later this Fall."

Santa's Little Helper and Pre-Order Details: "He shows up in a white box, with a bright red book under his arm... He wears a jolly grin and hat, a suit with gold bells and green yarn... He watches you for Santa, or so his red book claims... But though his grin is jolly, he's not here for fun and games.

The children have been chosen, such precious little souls they are... And may the Gods be with them, if they wish to make it very far... For Santa's Little Helper does not say, but knows important things... He knows when you've been bad or good, and what monsters stalk your dreams... He knows when you are sleeping, he knows when you're awake...He's picking out his presents...He's got some souls to take.

Have you ever heard of The Elf on the Shelf? It's an enormously popular children's book that comes with a little elf doll. The book tells the story of how the elf was sent by Santa to watch over the children until Christmas. The parent is supposed to sneak into their child's room every night and move the elf to a different spot, so that the children will think the doll flew back to the North Pole and reported to Santa.

As a writer with a healthy interest in the macabre, my first thought upon hearing of this was that had I received The Elf on the Shelf as a child, I would have buried that thing in the backyard. Naturally, a story was born of this. That story is called Santa's Little Helper, and it is a horror novel scheduled to release on 10/31/14, wherever Ebooks are sold."

As Night Comes Theatrical and VOD Release Details: "Illuminate Pictures has announced a week-long Los Angeles theatrical release of its acclaimed coming-of-age high school thriller As Night Comes, formerly titled Mischief Night. The release, which will take place at Laemmle's prestigious Music Hall in Beverly Hills, begins its run on November 14, 2014.

As Night Comes will also go out to an estimated 100 million homes throughout the United States and Canada on December 5, 2014, via a VOD deal with distribution powerhouse Gravitas Ventures.

As Night Comes follows troubled new kid, Sean Holloway, who falls in with a group of teenage outcasts called 'The Misfits,' under the wing of its charismatic leader, Ricky. On the eve of Halloween, Ricky’s anarchist plan for revenge spirals out of control, culminating in brutal violence, and ultimately Sean’s fight for survival and freedom.

Zelniker describes the picture as “a dark, gritty look into the turbulent underworld of high school rebellion. It’s every parent’s worst nightmare, and every angsty teenager’s fantasy.”

The film stars an ensemble cast including Luke Baines (The Ever After, The Possession of Michael King), Myko Oliver (Castle, Sam & Cat), Evanne Friedmann (iCarly), Stacia Hitt (Neighbors) and Jesse Kove (Mind’s Eye, Axe Giant: The Wrath of Paul Bunyan). Kove also served as a producer of the film along with Illuminate Pictures partners Zelniker and Chris Monte. Zelniker co-wrote the screenplay with a then 16-year-old Ryan Koehn.

The deal was negotiated by Frederic Demey of OZO Films on behalf of Illuminate Pictures and Mia Bruno and Chad Miller of Gravitas Ventures. This marks the first completed feature film from Illuminate Pictures’ slate of diverse projects."
