We're back this weekend with another edition of the Indie Spotlight. Today, we bring you the first episode of the zombie webseries The Dead Feed, along with the latest independent horror news sent our way:

When Good Holiday’s Go Bad: Rise of the Fiend: "Halloween, that magical night that compels adults to act like children, children to gorge themselves and a host of creatures and ghouls, those nasty beasties that hide under your bed, in your closet or the deepest recesses of your mind, all come out to play, scaring and frightening their human victims; at least, that’s how it was in the old days.

Welcome to Halloween Hallow, a disturbing land where all the nefarious creatures that wander the world on Halloween night come to dwell during the off season. In this land of strange and weird creatures lives Jack, the only human ever allowed to live amongst them. Over the last four years Jack has noticed a disturbing trend, the children of the real world no longer fear the hard working citizens of Halloween Hallow; Halloween is no longer scary!

When government funding is pulled and the threat of their holiday being shut down, Jack formulates a daring plan, a plan that doesn’t sit well with the ruling council. A murderous plot is set in motion, a transformation from normal and mundane into the truly fantastic, yet somewhat psychotic, takes place and Jack sets out to have his revenge.

Behind the scenes lurks the tall, lumbering, dead figure of Frankenzombie with sinister, world dominating plans of his own. What is being past to Peter Rabbit, Cupid and Father Time during their late night rendezvous with Frankenzombie? What evil is the rouge council member planning and how does Santa Claus fit in?"

Legends Of The Night: "LEGENDS OF THE NIGHT (also known as LOTN) is a large-scale, intelligent horror story, combining elements of suspense and drama, to reveal a complete retelling of history in a world where the supernatural secretly exists. Each story is an individual piece of a puzzle, chronicling four major storylines, all leading to the apocalyptic destruction of mankind. LOTN is a different kind of horror - focusing on story and character rather than worn out clichés and cheap shocks. Consisting of high quality, high concept stories with significance and substance, all leading to something much larger.

After being expelled from Heaven, Satan seeks to remove the newly crowned Almighty, Maridian from his throne, in an attempt to return balance to the Universe. Discovering an ancient fail-safe that propelled Maridian into power, Satan manipulates a series of prophecies known as the Processions, that if successfully enacted, would lead mankind to an end, allowing him to challenge Maridian for control over creation. The Processions, specific to Maridian’s creation of mankind and the Universal foundational principle of free-will, would require Satan to come to Earth and shape the fates and destinies of those tied to the end of the world. His temptation and influence would come by way of:

A curse: An affliction, designed by Satan, bestowed onto man, creating beings so connected with the earth, that their blood would give birth to powers so elemental and pure, they would be the catalyst to bring about the end of the world.

A plague: Satan would unleash a plague upon mankind that in the hands of men would usher humanity to the doorstep of destruction.

A parasite: An ancient ectoparasitic race crash landed on Earth by way of Satan’s hand, would subsist on the warm-blooded creatures that eventually evolved into mankind. As civilization grew, the parasites would retreat into the shadows, creating others like them and giving rise to the myth of the Vampyre. They would alter history and unwittingly assist in the enacting of the Processions.

A battle for souls: Satan’s largest undertaking would be the conquest for souls to build an army large enough to ensure triumph against the Almighty. He would employ his demon hordes, along with supernatural forces to tempt and steal the souls of mankind.

And so as man evolved, Satan and his creations would lurk in the shadows. Waging a secret war, with an outcome aimed at destruction."

Bunnyman 2 Photos: "Joe and Bunnyman’s adventure continue in a rural ghost town. Bunnyman’s blood lust knows no bounds, as he slaughters indiscriminately anything that crosses his path. Joe is all too happy to encourage his behavior, selling the dead victims as beef jerky in his local store.

A mutually beneficial relationship with cracks that start to emerge. As the bodies pile up, including a couple dozen kids in a school bus, Bunnyman’s body count is becoming more problematic. Joe is forced to dispose the bodies, by any means necessary. A problem he exasperates by occasionally joining in on the rampage.

In addition to Joe’s body disposal problem, the local sheriff becomes suspicious with the disappearance of a few of his deputies. His investigation crosses paths with two persistent sisters, that refuse to die at the hands of Joe and Bunnyman. Some will live, and some will die, but all will be damaged."

Here are two photos with one of Bunnyman 2's stars (and victims), Jamie Bernadette:
