Viewers know her as Moneypenny in the James Bond films, Selena from 28 Days Later, and her Oscar-nominated role as Paula from the recently buzzed-about Moonlight. Now, Naomie Harris is joining Dwayne Johnson for the film adaptation of the Rampage video game.

THR reveals the news of Harris coming on board the adaptation of the 1986 massive monsters Midway arcade game that spawned several sequels.

While specific plot details are unknown, the New Line Cinema film is expected to incorporate key story elements of the video game, including the three colossal creatures, whom Rampage fans will remember as the giant gorilla George, the looming lizard Lizzie, and the jumbo werewolf Ralph. In the video games, these monsters were once humans, but were mutated after experiments went wrong at Scumlabs, and they proceeded to vent by stomping and toppling big cities.

According to THR, Harris will play "a geneticist with a moral streak" and Johnson will portray "an animal-loving hero who is the world’s only hope."

Rampage will be directed by Brad Peyton (Incarnate, San Andreas) from a screenplay originally written by Ryan Engle, with subsequent work done by Carlton Cuse, Ryan Condal, and Adam Sztykiel. Rampage is set to rumble the big screen on April 20th, 2018, and we'll keep you updated as more details are revealed.
