We have some more good news for Clive Barker fans. Following the news that he's working on a script for a Hellraiser reboot, it has been announced that a publisher has picked up The Scarlet Gospels.

Originally planned as a collection of short stories, the project changed to focus on Harry D'Amour going up against Pinhead. The novel has been in works for more than a decade and we'll be able to read it in 2015, courtesy of St. Martin's Press:

"Clive is delighted to announce that St Martin's Press has acquired world English rights to publish The Scarlet Gospels, his upcoming novel featuring Pinhead and Harry D'Amour.  St Martin's anticipates a winter 2015 publication date - more from Clive soon..! "

Here's the previous announcement from Clive Barker that he completed work on the novel:

"I thought you might like to know that THE SCARLET GOSPELS, a large novel which sets Harry D'Amour against the Hell Priest Pinhead,is finished, and has been delivered to my agent. I don't yet have a publication date for it, but as soon as I do you'll be the first to know. I won't say anything about the narrative except this: it's a HORROR NOVEL with the graphic violence and perverse eroticism of the most intense tales from the Books Of Blood. Please feel free to share this news with any friends who might have been wondering about the book: THE SCARLET GOSPELS ARE FINISHED."

We don't know how much has changed from the original plan, but it was previously suggested that this book would be 1,000 - 2,000 pages in length. We also don't know whether the short stories were mostly merged into this main story or if they've been dropped completely. We'll let readers know as soon as more details become available.
