Last month, Relativity Media picked up The Woman in Black: Angel of Death for US distribution, scheduling Hammer's haunted house sequel for a January 30th release. Viewers won't have to wait quite that long to enter the Eel Marsh House, however, as the release of the 1941-set film has moved to a calendar spot recently vacated by Amityville: The Awakening.

According to Box Office Mojo, The Woman in Black: Angel of Death will now be released on January 2nd. From Hammer and eOne, the follow-up to the Daniel Radcliffe-starring horror film is directed by Tom Harper off a screenplay by Jon Croker that’s partially based on an original story by The Woman in Black author, Susan Hill. The Woman in Black: Angel of Death stars Jeremy Irvine, Helen McCrory, and Phoebe Fox.

“England, 1941 With London in the midst of the blitz, two teachers evacuate a group of schoolchildren to the abandoned Eel Marsh House. Seeking safety from the bombs in the remote coastal location, the group instead find themselves facing an evil far more frightening when their arrival awakens the Woman in Black.”
