Despite being packed with bloodthirsty vampires, life-changing decisions, and intriguing human survivors, one of the biggest talking points from FX's The Strain has been actor Corey Stoll's noticeable wig, which has become somewhat of a character itself. Fans of the wig will have to bid farewell, however, as a photo from this Sunday's episode, "Quick and Painless", reveals Dr. Ephraim Goodweather's new, clean-shaven look.

In the fifth episode of season two, Stoll's character, Eph, will shave his head to go incognito and breach security on his quest to discuss the growing vampiric infection with national authorities.

Carlton Cuse and co-creator Guillermo del Toro have planned out the "death" of Eph's hair for quite some time, with discussions about its removal stretching back to before Stoll even took the role.
