A couple of smaller news items recently popped up related to The Walking Dead, and we figured readers would be interested in checking them out. Continue reading to see The Walking Dead guitar from Peavey and find out what Charlie Adlard had to say about reaching his 100th issue with The Walking Dead #106:

Charlie Adlard on The Walking Dead #106: "It doesn't feel like 100 issues. Certainly not. When you're having fun, you just don't want it to stop and time just flies.

But it is. 100 issues... wow. I never thought I'd achieve a number like that. That's not to say I wasn't capable -- on the contrary, I was always ready to do a long stint on a series when I first became a pro -- I just never had the chance. Until Robert came along.

What can I say...? Thanks, Robert... for everything. Thanks everyone at Image and Skybound. And thanks to the fans of course -- you're the ones that bought that little seen comic in the early days and made our lives so amazing!

It's been a blast. Nearly ten years working on the same title.... It just DOESN'T FEEL LIKE 100 ISSUES!

...Which is a good sign, because I'm here, ready for the next 100...

I stand poised, pen ready as we speak, for issue 108. Normal service has been resumed.

Cheers,

Charlie"

“We are very pleased to be working with Robert Kirkman and Skybound,” commented Hartley Peavey, founder and CEO of Peavey Electronics. “The immense popularity of The Walking Dead comic book series and bestselling graphic novels will allow us to get our products in the hands of an entirely new market and will expand our range of designs.”

Shawn Kirkham, Director of Business Development at Skybound Entertainment, added, “The merging of The Walking Dead’s iconic art and the equally iconic Peavey brand is a no-brainer. I’m excited to see fans and musicians strapping on guitars featuring gruesome Walking Dead artwork from Charlie Adlard. These guitars, straps and picks are going to look brutal!”
