Burt Gummer is coming back for another showdown with the Graboids, as Michael Gross has revealed that Tremors 6 is moving forward at Universal Studios Entertainment.

Gross made the Tremors 6 announcement on Facebook (via Bloody Disgusting) this past Tuesday, and while plot details and the production start date are unknown at this time, Gross did reveal that he'll be back to reprise his role as Graboid slayer Burt Gummer, and he also mentioned that his Tremors 5: Bloodlines co-star Jamie Kennedy will return as Travis B. Welker. Additionally, the fifth film's director, Don Michael Paul, will come back to helm the franchise's sixth movie.

The latest film in the series, Tremors 5: Bloodlines was released on Blu-ray, DVD, and VOD on October 6th, 2015 from Universal Pictures Home Entertainment. The movie followed Gummer and his new friend Welker across the globe as they fought massive monsters in South Africa.

We have Gross' official announcement below, and we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated as more news on Tremors 6 breaks through the surface. In the meantime, what are your thoughts on a sixth Tremors movie? Are you more excited to see this film or the potential new Tremors TV series with Kevin Bacon, or are your anticipation levels equal for both projects?

From Michael Gross: "IT IS HAPPENING!!! Tremors and Graboid fans, there WILL be a number 6!!! Universal Studios Entertainment announced to me today that this will happen. Can't divulge to many secrets but to say that Burt Gummer. Jamie Kennedy and director Don Michael Paul will return for another. #TremorsFilm #Graboids #Horror #Monsters #SciFi"
