It has been announced that the 2nd Annual Troma-Fest will take place next month. The 3-night event will include screenings of Tromeo and Juliet, Poultrygeist, and Return to Nuke 'Em High Volume 1:

"Portsmouth, NH - Seacoast Repertory Theatre is proud to announce that it will launch its 2nd Annual Troma-Fest in February 2014. After the smashing success of last year’s festival, celebrating the world’s oldest independent film company, The Rep has big plans for Troma-Fest 2014 including the NH premier of Troma’s latest masterpiece, Return To Nuke ‘Em High. Also featured the night of the premier, international man of independent cinema, and president of Troma Entertainment Lloyd Kaufman makes his triumphant return to the Seacoast for an on stage Q&A with the cast of the film. The 3 nights of events are spread out over three weeks, each night offering a different slime covered film from Troma’s canon.

Feb. 12th kicks off the festival with an “Anti-Valentines Day” tribute to unrequited love with Tromeo and JulietTromeo and Juliet will feature a pre-show of live music featuring local noise rockers The Erotic City Electric Blues Band covering the worst love songs of all time, and a hilarious pre-show with hosts Timothy Fife and the “Queen of B’s”, Bunny Wonderland. Tromeo and Juliet screens Feb. 12th at 7:30 p.m.

Feb. 21st brings audiences the hilarious new cult classic, Poultrygeist: Night of the Chicken DeadPoultrygeist will feature an onstage Q&A with the star of the film Jason Yachanin. Live music from Portland Maine’s punk rock gods Covered In Bees (who also happen to be featured on the soundtrack for Poultrygeist) opens the show. Poultrygeist screens Feb. 21st at 8pm.

Feb. 28th welcomes the return of Lloyd Kaufman to Portsmouth and the New Hampshire premier of Return To Nuke ‘Em High, the latest blockbuster release from Troma Entertainment. This very special screening will feature an onstage Q&A with Lloyd Kaufman and select members of the cast of RTNH after the screening.  The Troma-Fest wrap party will commence following the Q&A at The Press Room. Return To Nuke ‘Em High premiers Feb. 28th at 8 p.m.

Troma-Fest 2014 dates are Feb. 12th, 21st, and 28th. All screenings are Pay-What-You-Can.  A VIP “Slime” pass may be purchased for $20.
