How do you make a haunted inn safe enough to ensure that guests will check in and out? An eclectic team of paranormal investigators are assembled to find the answer to that question in Witchtrap. Fans of the 1989 horror film from Kevin Tenney (Night of the Demons) will be pleased to know that Vinegar Syndrome has plans to release the movie on Blu-ray next year.

According to Blu-ray.com, Vinegar Syndrome will release Witchtrap sometime in early 2017. Although a release date, special features, and cover art have yet to be revealed, we'll keep Daily Dead readers updated on further details. In the meantime, we have the film's official synopsis (via Blu-ray.com) and a look at the movie's German trailer below.

Synopsis: "An old mansion on a seclude spot of prime real estate is inherited by a man from his long deceased uncle who died brutally on the premises. The man wants to open the place as a bed and breakfast, but it is possessed by the sadistic ghost of his late uncle who kills all that enter in assorted gruesome ways.

A paranormal researcher is hired to photograph and exorcise the ghost so she brings in a team of experts consisting of a mental medium, psychic medium, video-tech and three rent-a-cops for protection. Things don't go as planned as the bloodthirsty warlock is up to his old tricks and uses his diabolical powers to kill again.

Director Kevin Tenney (Night of the Demons), who also stars as the mansion owner, creates this delectably dreadful cheese of supernatural gore horror complete with bad acting, hilarious dialogue and a shower scene death featuring scream queen Linnea Quigley."

Written and directed by Kevin Tenney, Witchtrap stars James W. Quinn, Kathleen Bailey, Judy Tatum, and Linnea Quigley.
