Featuring an entity that's as creepy as its backstory is disturbing, Derek Franson's Rue introduces viewers to a new cinematic creature to give them nightmares, and you can watch the short film right here on Daily Dead.

Written, directed, and produced by Derek Franson, Rue stars Morgan Taylor Campbell, Brad Dryborough, and Sarah Grey. A stand-alone, proof-of-concept story set in the world of a feature film that's currently in development, Rue showcases absolutely haunting visual effects by Imagine Engine (District 9, Deadpool, and Jurassic World).

Synopsis: "Enraged by an unseemly love affair between best friend and teacher, a student carelessly awakens a wraith that feeds on its victims' most shameful regrets."
