Time has never been more precious for the characters on The Strain, and a new preview video for the next episode teases the escalating battle between the living and the undead in New York City.

Titled "Collaborators," the next episode of The Strain airs on Sunday, October 9th on FX. In case you missed it, FX recently renewed The Strain for its fourth and final season.

Episode 307 Synopsis: "Setrakian offers hope in a new plan to trap the Master while Eph and Dutch seek out the Master’s “voice.” Palmer, frail and close to death, needs Setrakian’s access to the white to hold up his end of their bargain. Fet suffers a devastating personal loss revealing a long-hidden family secret."

"New York City is a battleground as humans fight for survival against the vampire apocalypse. Though our heroes achieve small victories, they are not winning the war. Beset by personal conflicts – betrayal, disappointment, paranoia – the group splinters as the Master closes in on executing an irreversible transformation of the world.

The ensemble cast stars Corey Stoll, David Bradley, Kevin Durand, Jonathan Hyde, Richard Sammel, Natalie Brown, Miguel Gomez, Max Charles, Ruta Gedmintas, Rupert Penry-Jones, Samantha Mathis and Joaquín Cosío. The Strain hails from Showrunner/Executive Producer/Director/Writer Carlton Cuse along with Co-Creators/Executive Producers/Writers Guillermo del Toro and Chuck Hogan. Gary Ungar, J. Miles Dale, Bradley Thompson, David Weddle and Regina Corrado also serve as Executive Producers. The Strain is produced by FX Productions.”
