Buhguul and his legion of young, undead followers have moved on from the Oswalt household to haunt the halls of another family's abode in Sinister 2. Their malevolent presence is shown in a new trailer for the horror movie sequel (featuring a scene excerpt from George A. Romero's Night of the Living Dead) that's due out in theaters on August 21st.

"The sequel to the 2012 sleeper hit horror movie. In the aftermath of the shocking events in “Sinister,” a protective mother (Shannyn Sossamon of “Wayward Pines”) and her 9-year-old twin sons (real-life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan) find themselves in a rural house marked for death as the evil spirit of Buhguul continues to spread with frightening intensity."

Directed by Ciaran Foy (Citadel) from a screenplay co-penned by Scott Derrickson and C. Robert Cargill (the pair that scribed the original Sinister), Sinister 2 hits theaters on August 21st. In addition to Sossamon, Sinister 2 stars real life twins Robert and Dartanian Sloan, as well as James Ransone reprising his role as the Deputy (referred to as Deputy So-and-So in the original film). Keep an eye on Daily Dead tomorrow for the official Sinister 2 trailer.
