Weekend Box Office Update

Rise of the Planet of the Apes took the top spot once again, earning $27 million this weekend and $107.8 million since opening. Final Destination 5 had positive fan and critical response, with many calling it one of the best in the series, but it only earned $18.4 million. In comparison, The Final Destination opened to $27.4 million back in 2009.

Next week's big genre releases are the remakes of Fright Night and Conan the Barbarian. Here are the top 10 box office results for this weekend:
