From brain-hungry zombies and pain-inflicting Cenobites to shopping malls haunted by killer robots and the living dead, the 1980s offered horror hounds their frightening onscreen fix in numerous doses, many of which will be featured in special "Night of the Living ’80s" screenings this summer at Hollywood's Egyptian Theatre.
Beginning with a July 30th Stuart Gordon doubleheader of Re-Animator and From Beyond and concluding with totally rad August 16th showings of Chopping Mall and Night of the Comet, the Egyptian Theatre's "Night of the Living ’80s: A New Wave of Horror" stretch will feature 21 films from the decade when horror truly ruled the cinemas and drive-ins.
