Mary-Louise Parker may be the latest addition to the cast of R.I.P.D. According to reports, she in negotiations to take on the role of the person in charge of the Rest In Peace Division. Parker will be joining previously announced cast members Ryan Reynolds, Jeff Bridges, Kevin Bacon, and Stephanie Szostak.

Directed by Peter Schwentke (Red) and scheduled for release on for June 28, 2013, R.I.P.D. will tell the story of "a murdered cop (Reynolds) who is recruited to work in the Rest in Peace Department, a police force comprised of ghosts who battle spirits unready to depart this world".

Jeff Bridges will be playing Reynolds' partner in the Rest In Peace Division, while Stephanie Szostak will play the role of Reynolds' wife. Kevin Bacon has also signed on to play the villain in the film.

R.I.P.D. is based on the Dark Horse comic book series that started in 2003: "Welcome to the Rest In Peace Department -- the devoted, yet dead, officers of divine law enforcement "patrolling the deadbeat...reporting to one boss." Yep -- THAT boss. Nick Cruz was murdered by an unknown assailent, at the height of his personal and professional life. Now he's traded a hundred years of service to the R.I.P.D. in exchange for a shot at finding who killed him. Unfortunately his search will take him to Hell and back -- literally!"
