The Crow reboot can't seem to catch a break. After it looked like the movie was all set to go with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) directing and Bradley Cooper starring, the project had a setback 2 months ago when Cooper dropped out.
Supposedly, they were looking at other lead actors, including Channing Tatum and Mark Wahlberg, but that must not have gone too well, because a new report reveals that director Carlos Fresnadillo has also left the project.
According to Twitch, Relativity is looking for a new director and F Javier Gutierrez (Before the Fall) is one name that is being considered. As for Fresnadillo, the report also states he may be taking on a reboot of Highlander, but consider it just a rumor at this point.
We're assuming that Relativity is still going to move forward with their plans for a "gritty reboot" based on the original comic book series. Here is the original press release issued in June:
