While everyone is gearing up for the big release of The Walking Dead #100 in July, it isn't the end of the "Something to Fear" story arc that kicked off in issue #97 earlier this month. Check out the official cover art for The Walking Dead #101, which hits shelves in August:

The interesting thing about this cover is that it had fans thinking that Daryl Dixon would be introduced into the comic book series. Robert Kirkman added fuel to the fire during the Image Comics Expo in March when he said the following:

“I’ve definitely considered writing Daryl in to the comics. Norman is always pestering me about it. All I can say right now is that if you have been paying attention to the Internet we did just release a series of teasers called ‘Something to Fear’ for a new story arc that’s coming up and it’s a series of very threatening looking people with very specific weapons and one of them has a crossbow,”

So, was he just joking with fans or will Daryl be a new character in the comic book series? We should know by Comic-Con in July, so stay tuned for a follow up to this story.

THE WALKING DEAD #101: “SOMETHING TO FEAR” continues! In the aftermath of the events of the monumental 100th issue... things are not going well.

Story: Robert Kirkman, Art & Cover: Charlie Adlard & Cliff Rathburn
Release Date: August 15, 32 Pages/ BW / M /$2.99
