According to Variety, Jessica Biel is being considered for one of two female characters in the upcoming Total Recall reboot. At this time it isn't known whether or not she will play Melina or another female character (possibly Quaid's wife?). If Biel signs on, she will join Colin Farrell and Bryan Cranston in the Len Wiseman-directed reboot.
Scheduled for release on, August 3rd, 2012, the new version of Total Recall appears to be moving away from the setting of the original film. An earlier report has provided the following synopsis:
"The new story involves nation states Euromerica and New Shanghai, with Douglas Quaid (Farrell) a factory worker in the latter who begins to believe he is a spy, although he doesn't know for which side."
