The Lab Press, writer Adam Lawson (The Exiled, Kids & Monsters, Kill Journal) and artist Maxi Dall’O (Image Comic’s Lost Fantasy, Heavy Metal Magazine, Bad Idea) are set to unveil MAD DOG MORGAN and we have the first details and an exclusive look at artwork just for Daily Dead readers!

Launching on Kickstarter October 7th, "the 165-page hardcover graphic novel blends all-out indie wrestling with a blood-drenched haunted house to satisfy any horror or wrestling enthusiast's appetite. Perfect for fans of Do A Powerbomb and The Shining."

As part of this Kickstarter Exclusive crowdfunding campaign, The Lab Press will be offering two campaign-exclusive editions and add-ons for Mad Dog Morgan that won’t be going to retailers. Offerings will include a variant hardcover with slipcase, a leather-bound edition, and a foil print that will never be rereleased to retail "with a bill full of add-ons that only backers can grab through the Kickstarter platform." Lastly, this campaign will offer backers a chance to obtain a copy of the soon-to-be-released NYCC retailer-exclusive ashcan that will only be offered during Retailer Day at New York Comic Con.

“We couldn’t be more thrilled to join Adam on his next book. He’s been crafting unforgettable stories in comics for years, and Mad Dog Morgan feels like his most powerful work yet. It’s rare to see such a deeply human story rise from within the blood and brutality of horror, and that’s exactly what makes this project so remarkable.” - Nicholas Kalikow, The Lab Press CEO

The story of Mad Dog Morgan is described as follows:

Mitchell "Mad Dog" Morgan had only one dream: to make it to the big leagues of wrestling, but that dream never happened. Ready to drink himself to death, he wanders into a crumbling house that's more than it seems. Morgan finds himself in a supernatural world of horrors that feeds on the hopeless. The house tries to break him, but Morgan learns all his failures led him to this moment.  He was not born to wrestle in the ring, but to fight an ancient Evil that preys on the lost. Bloodied, brutalized, and on the brink, this washed-up jabroni rises up to become the main event.

Campaign is set to launch on October 7th, concluding on November 7th. To learn more and be notified when the campaign launches, visit:  https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/maddogmorgan/mad-dog-morgan-graphic-novel
