Although it shouldn't come as much of a surprise given the sales numbers for the first episode of The Walking Dead video game, Telltale Games confirmed future development and a boxed copy of the first five episodes:

Via Polygon: "We believe there is no better company than Telltale to bring complex narrative IP to interactive entertainment... Our first episodic game series based on The Walking Dead has sold nearly 1.7 million episodes to consumers in just our first 8 weeks with no signs of slowing down. We have three more episodes to go with Episode 3 targeted for August as we confirmed yesterday.

Following the digital release of our fifth episode we will also be coming to North American retail shortly thereafter and this will not be the last The Walking Dead game series that we do."

Episode 2 of Telltale's game series was just recently released, with Episode 3 due out in August. For more information on Episode 2, visit: http://dailydead.com/the-walking-dead-video-game-episode-2-is-now-available-on-pc-and-playstation-3/

Activision has also announced that they are working on their own video game set in the universe of The Walking Dead TV series. It will be a first person shooter, where you play as Daryl Dixon, and you can learn more at: http://dailydead.com/activision-announces-the-walking-dead-fps-video-game-starring-daryl-dixon/
