Depending on when you were born, you may have fond memories of reading Goosebumps and Fear Street as a child. R.L. Stine continues to write horror for children and young adults, and his latest book has already been picked up with the intention of turning it into a major motion picture.
The title of the book is It's The First Day of School ... Forever, and it sounds like Groundhog Day with a horror twist:
"...tells the story of 12-year-old Artie, whose second day at his new school is exactly like his first, which just happened to be the worst day of his life. The boy finds himself reliving the same horrible day and must find a way to change his nightmare."
The book is not even due out until July and no writer has been hired for the script, so this is in the very early stages. Gotham Group, the company that purchased the rights, is also developing a film adaptation of How to Survive a Garden Gnome Attack, which we reported about earlier in the month.
