Milla Jovovish posted new information about the upcoming Resident Evil movie to her twitter page. First, is that the new film may be called Resident Evil: Retribution, but let's not call that official just yet. Milla writes: "no, its not called 'begins' lol! it 'began' 10 yrs ago! lol! i think its called RE: Retribution, but i have to ask paul 2 b sure."

She has also mentioned that they will be filming some scenes for the new movie in Tokyo: "i LOVE tokyo! 1 of my FAVORITE cities in the world! we're gonna come film some scens 4 the nxt RE in tokyo!!!".

Her latest tweets, along with information posted by Sienna Guillory back in March seems to dispel rumors that this next movie would be a reboot. It makes more sense, given the ending of the last film, that this next entry would be a continuation of the storyline. The next Resident Evil movie, possibly titled Resident Evil: Retribution, will be released on September 14th, 2012.
