Cloverfield and Let Me In director Matt Reeves has lined enough projects to keep him busy for the foreseeable future. He's directing a story that was the basis for They Live for Universal and he will also be directing the vampire film The Passage for Fox.

On top of both projects, it has just been reported that he's agreed to direct This Dark Endeavor for Summit Entertainment. The movie will tell the story of a young Victor Frankenstein and his twin brother, and is based on an upcoming novel by Kenneth Oppel:

"In the Oppel novel, Frankenstein's twin Konrad is gravely ill. His brother seeks out a mysterious old alchemist to help him produce the Elixir of Life, a serum that will bestow the gift of perpetual health. You can't order this drink at a pub, and Frankenstein sets out on a dangerous adventure to find the elusive contents. He's accompanied by his best friend Elizabeth, who is sweet on Konrad. Things get complicated among the three of them."

This is one of multiple Frankenstein projects in the works, including another early Frankenstein story from Ghost House Pictures titled The Casebook of Victor Frankenstein.
