There has been multiple Prometheus news items this week and we have one more Prometheus-related story before things slow down for the upcoming holiday. The film already has a full cast which includes Noomi Rapace, Michael Fassbender, Charlize Theron, Idris Elba, and Guy Pearce, but JoBlo is reporting that Ben Foster (Pandorum, 30 Days of Night) has also joined the crew.

Although there was no official comment from Fox on yesterday's possible plot leak, they have just released the official short synopsis for the film:

"Visionary filmmaker Ridley Scott returns to the genre he helped define, creating an original science fiction epic set in the most dangerous corners of the universe. The film takes a team of scientists and explorers on a thrilling journey that will test their physical and mental limits and strand them on a distant world, where they will discover the answers to our most profound questions and to life’s ultimate mystery."

With a lack of official information, confirmed ties to the Alien universe, and a cast list that continues to get better, this film is definitely a film that we're keeping a close eye on. Prometheus is currently filming and is scheduled to be  released on June 8th, 2012.
