For the last few months, it has been rumored that Universal was looking to start work on a new Wolfman movie. Unfortunately, it was also mentioned that it would likely be a direct-to-DVD effort and today's news seems to confirm that.

According to Moviehole, Louis Morneau has been brought on to direct Werewolf for Universal. Some of Morneau's previous directorial efforts include Joy Ride 2, The Hitcher II, Bats, and Carnosaur 2. There is no word on casting or a release date, but we'll provide more information when it becomes available from Universal.
