Chainsaws, machine guns, and machetes: when its four humans versus one thousand zombies, you have to use whatever you can get your hands on to hold back the living dead. Fans of the Left 4 Dead zombie survival video game franchise are familiar with using a variety of weapons to fend off hordes of in-your-face, fast-paced zombies.

While a third entry to the franchise has long been awaited, it's been announced that a new arcade version of Left 4 Dead is set to be released in Japan. Even if you don't live in Japan, you can still get a taste of what the arcade version of Left 4 Dead is like by checking out the teaser trailer.

For those unfamiliar with the game, the original Left 4 Dead is a zombie survival first-person shooter that follows a group of four survivors as they attempt to navigate through a city choked with fast zombies and zombified mutated creatures. The 2008 original was followed by a sequel, Left 4 Dead 2, in 2009, and fans have been craving a third entry in the series developed by Valve Corporation and Turtle Rock Studios. The Japanese arcade version of Left 4 Dead is titled Left 4 Dead: Seizansha-tach, which translates to Left 4 Dead: Survivors.

It's unknown at this time how much the Japanese arcade version of Left 4 Dead will differ from the original version, or whether we could see a United States arcade version released in the near future. Stay tuned for more details as this story develops.
