Dead Island is described as a “first-person zombie-slasher/action-RPG”, and we wanted to know how its game length would compare to more-hardcore RPG's. In a recent interview with Gamespot, Dead Island developer Peter Brolly revealed the game's average length:
“…the Average Joe is going to get, like, 25 to 30 hours of gameplay out of the game doing the main story and taking some side-missions.”
That sounds like a pretty decent sized game compared to other shooter/RPG hybrids. The big question: how detailed are these side missions? If they are as detailed as Fallout 3 or Fallout: New Vegas, we could be looking at a 60+ hour game for hardcore RPG players. [Thanks Save and Quit]
