The Internet was rocked last August when Sony released "P.T." (aka playable teaser), an interactive PS4 sample from Konami that featured Norman Reedus walking down malevolent memory lane in the haunted town of Silent Hill. "P.T." promised a forthcoming Silent Hill game titled Silent Hills, which would star Reedus and come from the minds of Guillermo del Toro and Hideo Kojima. Recent comments from del Toro and Reedus, however, reveal that their trip to Silent Hill has been crossed off the calendar.
Eurogamer reports that although Konami is still working on a new entry to the Silent Hill series, the Silent Hills game teased in the frightening "P.T." is not moving forward. At a film event in San Francisco, del Toro confirmed the news and Reedus took to Twitter to share his regrets about the game's cancellation:
Super bummed about this was really looking forward to it. Hopefully it'll come back around. Sorry everyone 🍕http://t.co/drZJ8tBsSN

Additionally, it's rumored that Kojima will no longer be working at Konami by the end of the year. "P.T.", which had gamers jumping in their seats and looking forward to exploring more ghost-riddled hallways, will be taken off the PlayStation Network on Wednesday, April 29th (because the distribution period has come to an end), so if you haven't played it yet, be sure to do so soon.
