After last night's season finale of American Horror Story, fans have to be curious about what direction the show will take for future seasons. Thankfully, we won't have to wait until next October to learn more, as show co-creator Ryan Murphy offered plenty of details during a recent conference call:

***SPOILER WARNING***

Ryan Murphy mentioned that the first season storyline had been planned out since day 1 and the series will return with a new main cast and in a new location. At the same time, don't be surprised to see a handful of actors from the first season make a return in a new role:

"Some of them will be coming back. There will be familiar faces and also some new faces... The people that are coming back will be playing completely different characters, creatures, monsters, etc. [The Harmons] stories are done. People who are coming back will be playing entirely new characters."

Good news for American Horror Story fans. You won't have to wait too much longer to find out who will be making up the new cast:

"I would have them all back in a heartbeat. I think we'll announce the full cast and what the new storyline is going to be some time in February."

Each season of American Horror Story will take place in a new location and will feature a new theme:

"What you saw in the finale was the end of the Harmon house. The second season of the show will be a brand-new home or building to haunt... Just like this year, every season of this show will have a beginning, middle and end. [The second season] won't be in L.A. It will obviously be in America, but in a completely different locale. The season we're planning now is very different from the California house approach...  There is a clue in the last three episodes where we say what the next season will be about."
