Those who were excited to see Caesar: Rise of the Apes this summer are going to have to wait a bit longer, as Fox has officially moved its release date to November 23rd. Directed by Rupert Wyatt and starring James Franco, Rise of the Apes "is set in contemporary San Francisco, where a genetic engineering experiment leads to the creation of intelligence in apes, causing an inevitable conflict between species."

Given the amount of big summer movies coming out this year, moving Rise of the Apes seems like a smart move. While are many fans of the Apes series, the studio has a better chance of filling seats with people who haven't seen the original movies if they don't have to compete with movies like X-Men, Transformers, Super 8, and Cars 2.
