Paloma Kwiatkowski has signed on for a recurring role on Bates Motel as a potential romantic interest for the titular character. At Comic-Con, the show's executive producer Carlton Cuse teased that Norman may have some romance coming his way and with the casting of Kwiatkowski we now know a little more about what to expect, courtesy of Deadline:

"She will play Cody Brennan, a small town party girl who befriends Norman (Freddie Highmore) and bonds with him, showing him how having fun and “acting out” can sublimate pain – at least for awhile."

Paloma Kwiatkowski (pictured below) is new on the acting scene with only a handful of projects to her name, the most prominent is her role in the upcoming feature Percy Jackson: Sea of Monsters. She joins other new cast members who were announced to join Season 2 last month:

Michael Vartan (Alias) will be playing George, “a charming divorcé who catches Norma’s eye.” Michael Eklund (The Call) will be playing play Zane Carpenter, “a new upper level player in Dylan’s drug family.” Rebecca Creskoff (Hung) will be playing Christine, a character “who befriends Norma, pulling her into the upper circle of White Pine Bay Society.” Kenny Johnson (Sons Of Anarchy) is taking on the role of Caleb, Norma’s brother.

Filming is currently underway on the 10-episode second season and is set to premiere early next year on A&E. More on the new characters can be found in our previous article at  http://dailydead.com/bates-motel-season-2-casting-news/ *This story was submitted by Jemma George.
