Relativity Media recently announced that they were moving forward with a new version of The Crow, with Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later) set to direct and Bradley Cooper starring. However, scheduling conflicts have forced Bradley Cooper to drop out of the project.

This is still a top priority for Relativity and they are looking to fill the role quickly. According to THR, Channing Tatum and Mark Wahlberg are two names being thrown around as a possible replacement. Mark Wahlberg was offered the role prior to Bradley Cooper and passed at that time.

As opposed to a remake of the previous film, it is said that this version will be more of a reboot that follows that will be using the comic series as inspiration: "Directed by Juan Carlos Fresnadillo (28 Weeks Later), The Crow adaptation will be a gritty reboot of the gothic iconic character Eric Draven, who returns from the grave as The Crow on a mission to avenge his wife’s murder, so that his soul can finally rest."
