The Cabin in the Woods was supposed to be released back in 2009, but due to MGM financial problems its release was put on hold indefinitely. Deadline reports that Lionsgate is working out a deal with MGM to distribute the film, so we may finally get a chance to see this movie!

Directed by Drew Goddard (Cloverfield Writer) and co-written by Joss Whedon, The Cabin in the Woods stars Richard Jenkins, Bradley Whitford, and Chris Hemsworth, among others.

No release date has been mentioned, but that October 28th spot just vacated by Dibbuk Box seems like a good fit.
