A Gwar: Orgasmageddon #3 Impressions: "Join the greatest heavy metal band to ever terrorize an audience, the all-mighty GWAR, as they rampage through the past to catch Mr. Perfect and shut him down for good. One part revenge, two parts bloodlust, all parts GWAR craziness! See GWAR's influence on modern technological inventions, watch GWAR kill more historical dead guys, and drop in on a very special 1990s talk show episode taping. That's right, this is the issue you demanded: GWAR of yesterday meets GWAR of today and things are gonna get...emotional. Featuring story by sappy mess Matt Miner, GWAR's Matt Maguire, and art by Jonathan Brandon Sawyer and members of GWAR, 2017's most incredible comic finds a heart underneath the piles of rotting flesh and gallons of spew.

Impressions:
The penultimate issue of Gwar: Orgasmageddon was once again a very solid continuation of the insane escapades of the metal band Gwar. I try to stay away from rehashing specific plot points as to avoid spoiling any surprises for our readers, and, believe me, there are some really over-the-top, fun surprises in every issue, but especially in #3! Here is a hint at something that I really enjoyed seeing: are you familiar with the triple-breasted lady from Paul Verhoeven's Total Recall? She doesn't appear in Orgasmageddon (albeit it would be very rad if she did), but be on the lookout for a creature who, uh, has an extra appendage or two.
The writing from Matt Miner and Matt Maguire continues to capture Gwar's essence. The creators even took direct quotes from Oderus Urungus' previous interviews as well as movies and social media to honor the late Dave Brockie, lead singer and bassist for Gwar, which I'm sure fans and newcomers alike will appreciate.

Tamika hails from North Beach, Maryland, a tiny town inches from the Chesapeake Bay.She knew she wanted to be an actor after reciting a soliloquy by Sojourner Truth in front of her entire fifth grade class. Since then, she's appeared in over 20 film and television projects. In addition to acting, Tamika is the Indie Spotlight manager for Daily Dead, where she brings readers news on independent horror projects every weekend.
The first horror film Tamika watched was Child's Play. Being eight years old at the time, she remembers being so scared when Chucky came to life that she projectile vomited. It's tough for her to choose only one movie as her favorite horror film, so she picked two: Nosferatu and The Stepford Wives (1975).
