A concept for a talk show with horror guests that just makes so much sense! Fresh off of the release of Late Night with the Devil, I'm very excited that David Dastmalchian is continuing his hosting duties in Grave Conversations, a weekly talk show released every Wednesday on Instagram, where the interview is conducted from within their own caskets:

“Grave Conversations” promises viewers an unforgettable journey into the depths of human existence, while Dastmalchian guides his guests through discussions that delve into personal reflections on mortality, legacy, and the afterlife, all while lying down in Titan caskets. Episode one will feature actress Kate Siegel (“The Fall of the House of Usher”) with episode two bringing prolific filmmaker and showrunner Mike Flanagan, and lastly actor Matthew Lillard (“Five Nights at Freddy’s”) joins Dastmalchian for his time, in the casket.

Of the series David shares “After playing a talk show host in my most recent film ‘Late Night with the Devil,’ I felt myself longing to take the interview format phase of my career one step further… with caskets.  The opportunity to interview my friends and colleagues presented itself with ‘Grave Conversations,’ a hilarious, heartfelt, and personal exploration of some of the things that matter most in life.  And death.”

Kate said, “I never thought I would do an interview in a casket, but now that I’ve done one, I only want to do interviews in caskets” while Mike shared “Grave Conversations is one of the best interviews, one of the top 15 strangest conversations with David Dastmalchian I’ve ever had. Finally, my tendency to climb into open caskets was put to earnest and entertaining use.”

The launch of “Grave Conversations” furthers the collaboration between unscripted TV titan Elan Gale’s TheYearOfElan Productions and Titan Casket, where Elan serves as Creative Director for the direct-to-consumer casket company.  The duo joined forces with David’s newly launched Good Fiend Films to develop this innovative talk show format, marking a pivotal moment in altering the societal perception of death.

Titan Casket, who most recently partnered with Ryan Reynolds’ company Maximum Effort, shared “‘Grave Conversations’ not only represents a bold step in forwarding the discussion of the often-taboo subject of death, but also aligns with our ongoing mission to provide dignity, affordability, and transparency in funeral planning and end-of-life care. This series promises to offer a fresh perspective on the universal journey we all face, encouraging viewers to contemplate their views on mortality and the afterlife.” Gale said “‘Grave Conversations’ is more than just a talk show; it’s the most important talk show I’ve ever been a part of, and the only talk show I’ve been a part of. Normalizing conversations about death can be just as fun as it is important.”

**Grave Conversations was developed by Elan Gale, with episodes written by Bill Dixon and directed by Jacob Strunk.**

It was revealed that there will be episodes featuring Kate Siegel, Mike Flanagan, and Matthew Lillard, with the first episode now available: https://www.instagram.com/p/C6JJ58fO0mN/
