Many of you have probably already made your mind up about who you're going to vote for, and many of you, myself included, have already voted. But it's a fact that only around 66% of those that were eligible to vote in 2020 actually cast their votes, and today has such an incredible impact on the lives of people across the country, especially for marginalized communities, who need our support. That's why it's more important than ever that you get out and vote!

If you don't know if you're registered or if you don't know where to vote, there are resources online available, including https://iwillvote.com/

Your vote does make a difference, and I strongly encourage all of you, especially those of you in battleground states, to make the time and cast your vote. Today, I voted for Kamala Harris. Those that know me or have read Daily Dead regularly know that it was an easy choice for me. After 8+ years of intense division, including a pandemic that many, including myself, are still mentally and physically recovering from, I'm hopeful that we can move toward a world that isn't dominated and divided by Trump. But I don't want to take up too much of your time today to convince you who to vote for, especially when Scare Up the Vote assembled so many horror creatives that I respect and admire, and they shared their thoughts on this election during an online event last month.

Spearheaded by Tananarive Due, Scare Up the Vote was a grass roots event within the horror community to raise funds and awareness to elect Kamala Harris and Tim Walz. The live online event included appearances from Stephen King, Joe Hill, Mike Flanagan, Tananarive Due, Stephen Graham Jones, Cynthia Pelayo, Paul Tremblay, Gabino Iglesias, Victor LaValle, Alma Katsu, Bryan Fuller, Scott Derrickson, Don Mancini, David Dastmalchian, and more!

Thankfully, the entire 2+ hour event is available online, both as a single video and broken up into different clips from your favorite creators.

I've included the conversation with Joe Hill, Stephen King, Akela Cooper, Clay McLeod Chapman, David Dastmalchian, Mike Flanagan, Kate Siegel, Don Mancini, and Tananarive Due below. You can watch the entire video (plus individual clips) at http://www.scareupthevote.com
