As a follow up to yesterday's news that the latest Resident Evil film would begin filming this October, there is now word on the director and casting. According to Bloody Disgusting, Paul W.S. Anderson will be returning to the director's chair for the latest installment. He directed the first Resident Evil movie, as well as Resident Evil: Afterlife 3D.

While it was expected, it has also been confirmed that Milla Jovovich will return as Alice. Possible new characters may include video game favorites Leon Kennedy and Barry Burton, but no additional story or casting information is available at this time.

Resident Evil: Retribution will be filming in Toronto and Tokyo starting this October and has a scheduled release date of September 14th, 2012.
