The pain of losing loved ones is unfortunately something that we all have to experience, but what if your recently departed family and friends came back from the dead one day (without an appetite for human flesh)? Can you imagine the avalanche of emotions that would come in the wake of their return? For a small town in rural Wisconsin, that compelling (and somewhat frightening) "what if" becomes a reality in the aptly new series Revival.
Based on the captivating comic book series of the same name by Tim Seeley and Mike Norton, Revival will immerse viewers in a riveting story about love, loss, and rediscovering life through death when it premieres this Thursday, June 12th at at 10:00pm ET on SYFY. Ahead of its anticipated premiere, Daily Dead had the great pleasure of discussing the show's small-town setting, complex family dynamics, and compelling contemplations on death (and life after death) with the cast and crew of Revival, including executive producers and showrunners Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce as well as cast members Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, and David James Elliott.
You can watch our video interviews below, and we also have additional details on the series and the official trailer for Revival!
On one miraculous day in rural Wisconsin, the recently deceased suddenly rise from their graves. But this is no zombie story as the “revived” appear and act just like they once were. The series stars Melanie Scrofano, Romy Weltman, David James Elliott, and Andy McQueen.
The series is created by Aaron B. Koontz and Luke Boyce, who serve as showrunners and executive producers. Lance Samuels, Daniel Iron, Samantha Levine, Neil Tabatznik, Daniel March, Melanie Scrofano, Greg Hemmings, Stephen Foster & Amanda Row also serve as executive producers.
