Speaking of R-rated horror, the Guillermo Del Toro-produced Don't Be Afraid of the Dark finally has a release date. Due to the sale of Miramax, Disney postponed the release and it has been on hold ever since. Miramax has partnered up with FilmDistrict to release the film in theaters on August 12th, 2011. If the name of the film sounds familiar, that's because this is a remake of a 1973 ABC television horror film of the same name.
