In addition to co-hosting Blumhouse's Shock Waves podcast, co-writing and co-directing the holiday horror movie All the Creatures Were Stirring, and teaching the Horror Film Production Workshop at University of Southern California School of Cinematic Arts this summer, Dr. Rebekah McKendry is also bringing her insightful knowledge of the horror genre to Nightmare University, a new addition to the Fangoria Podcast Network.
Initially announced on Bloody Disgusting, the 10-episode first season of Nightmare University will kick off on Thursday, with a new episode being released every other week, giving horror fans in-depth analysis of different sub-genres and elements of horror. First up will be "Aquatic Horrors," with special guests Stephen Scarlata and Josh Miller joining McKendry for a lively discussion on films featuring submerged scares. In addition to Nightmare University, Bloody Disgusting reports that McKendry will release weekly min-episodes of FANGORIA's Office Hours, a reflective podcast on her 15-year career with Fangoria, including "inside stories about famous cover art, collaborating with horror legends, and more." The first episode will be released on Tuesday, May 7th, with subsequent episodes coming out once a week thereafter.

Also on the docket for the FANGORIA Podcast Network are a slate of in-house series hosted by the “Vanguard of the Vault” Natasha Pascetta. “Lifecast” is a podcast that explores unique perspectives on special effects in film. Natasha interviews SFX artists, directors, actors and more with the goal of unearthing special-effects-related behind the scenes stories that have rarely been heard. Listeners can expect to hear fan favorites like Barbara Crampton, Alec Gillis, Lloyd Kaufman, and so many more.
“Class of ’79” is podcast that celebrates movies turning 40 this year and “Class of ’89” is podcast that celebrates movies turning 30 this year. Host Natasha interviews the creators and contributors of our favorite movies from 1979 & 1989. The first episode of “Class of ’89” hits your podcast feed with on Tuesday, May 7th, with the first of three episodes on the 1989 Stephen King-adapted Mary Lambert-directed classic Pet Sematary.
