BOOM! Studios has officially announced that they will be publishing an Escape From New York comic book series and we have the first details, along with a look at the first covers. With plans to release the first issue in December, the new series will be written by Christopher Sebela (High Crimes, Dead Letters).

At this time, there are no details on John Carpenter's involvement, but, as he's a part of BOOM!'s Big Trouble in Little China comic book series creative team, chances are that he'll be involved in some capacity. Cover A below is from Tim Bradstreet, while Cover B is from Riley Rossmo. Look for more information on this series and preview pages from the first issue as we get closer to December.
