In less than one week, we say goodbye to Matt Smith and should get our first good look at Peter Capaldi as the new Doctor. If you'd like a little taste of what's coming up in the Christmas special, take a look at this clip with the Doctor and Clara working on Christmas dinner.

In the UK, The Time of the Doctor will premiere at 7:30 pm on BBC One on December 25th. In the US, BBC America will air the special at 9:00 pm. For all other countries, make sure to check your local listings for the specific air time.

Based on the teaser images and trailer, this special looks to be filled with some of the Doctor’s biggest adversaries, including the Daleks, Cybermen, Weeping Angels, and The Silence. We've included the trailer and photo gallery below, for those that missed our previous coverage.

“Clara and The Doctor must go to a quiet backwater planet in order to learn what some strange signals mean for his very last existence.”
